Can the 9Z's synthesized module and receiver be used with non-synthesized modules and receivers?
Absolutely! You can use the synthesized module with any FUTABA receiver compatible with the radio, and you can use the synthesized receiver with any transmitter module (set to the proper channel of course) including with other Futaba radio systems.
Note that some non-Futaba aftermarket receivers which are compatible with the standard modules are NOT compatible with the FSS synthesized module due to differences in the data output. All Futaba equipment is capable of reading this output, but not all other brands are.
