12FG Radio System FAQ

I'm getting "Write Protected" message when I try to format my SD card (Sandisk UltraII 1G) with my Futaba 12FG. I have tried four different brands of SD cards and I always get the same message from my 12FG . What can I do?

I would recommend first trying to reformat this card in your PC.

Insert this into your SD reader, then on the My Computer Icon, highlight and right click on the correct drive your reader is using. Next scroll to the menu that says FORMAT. After you open this, just click to reformat it. Then try using this in your transmitter again. This should clear out anything that was on this card, and allow you to again reformat this in your radio.

Also on the side of some SD cards, there is a "lock" type slide on the side of the card that must be moved either up or down to unlock it, this will sometimes help you out.
