12FG Radio System FAQ
I am setting up a 4 engine model on my 12FG, where I want to use switch SE to control the following:
SE Pos 1 : Eng 1&3 is controlled by J3 and Eng2&4 is controlled by LS
SE Pos 2 : Eng 2&4 is controlled by J3 and Eng1&3 is controlled by LS
SE Pos 3 : Eng 1-4 is controlled by J3
One important thing to remember while following the steps below is that when you are setting the controls in the Function menu, you will want to turn your Rotary dial once you have selected your control, until the box on the very left hand side says SINGL....then press the Dial to set this control to this Condition only and will not allow it to override your other conditions.
- With switch E in the back (down) position, go into your Function menu and reset channel 1 as Throttle, with the Control as J3 and the Trim as T3.
- Now scroll down to Channel 2 and reset it as Throttle2, with the control as LS, trim T3.
- Go to Channel 3 and reset this as Throttle3, with control as J3, Trim as T3
- And now go to channel 4 and set this as Throttle4, with control as LS, and trim as T3.
Now go back to the Condition select screen, and add a new condition, rename this as CONDIT2. Dial over to the switch option and select SE in the center position.
You must set this second Condition up with your SE in the center position now for this full sequence. You are going to basically do as you did above, but switch around the Controls, so this one will be:
- With switch E in the Center position, go into the Function menu and reset channel 1 as Throttle, with the Control as LS and the Trim as T3.
- Now scroll down to Channel 2 and reset it as Throttle2, with the control as J3, trim T3.
- Go to Channel 3 and reset this as Throttle3, with control as LS, Trim as T3
- And now go to channel 4 and set this as Throttle4, with control as J3, and trim as T3.
Now, for the last one, you need to create a Third Condition, this time naming it CONDIT3, on SE but in the front (Up) position. And this time you will...
- With switch E in the Up (front) position, go into the Function menu and reset channel 1 as Throttle, with the Control as J3 and the Trim as T3.
- Now scroll down to Channel 2 and reset it as Throttle2, with the control as J3, trim T3.
- Go to Channel 3 and reset this as Throttle3, with control as J3, Trim as T3
- And now go to channel 4 and set this as Throttle4, with control as J3, and trim as T3.
