I am trying to send my model set up to a friend but can't copy and paste or even view anything in the model folder. I use Windows XP and "normal" programs. What should I do to send him the files?

Have you copied the models from your transmitter to your CF card yet? If not, lift the flap on the left-hand side of your transmitter and insert the Futaba CF card that came with your transmitter. Go into your Linkage menu, from there pick Model Select in your Linkage menu. You will see a box that will say either Internal or Mem Card. If it is saying Mem Card, then the models shown to the left are the ones that are on your CF card.

You will want to turn the dial until your highlighted box says Internal. These are the models that are in your radio. Now use your cursor to highlight the one that you want to copy to your card. Press the dial once, then cursor over to the very right-hand column. Toggle down to Copy. Once there press the dial again. You will now see a new screen that will say "copy model data".

The first box is the "source" box; it should say "Internal". Toggle the cursor up to the first box which says Internal and press the dial to highlight it. The next space down will give you the models name that you are going to copy. As long as the first box is highlighted you can now toggle down to the last box which will say "Destin" which is the destination of the copying process. (If you do not highlight the box that says Internal in the first step by pressing the dial, when you try to toggle down, you will actually be in the model select column and will be changing the Source model.) You will now need to turn the dial until the destination box says "Mem. Card". Then just toggle to the right once to the Copy box, press the dial and you will get a confirmation screen. Press the dial once more and your model will be saved to the card for you.

Now, if you are not finding any models on your PC in your CF card, you will need to go into your Drive and look for the "Sandisk" or portable Drive that you use for your CF card. It will most likely say "Removable Disk". When you CF card is inserted into the Portable Drive, click on this file and you will see a series of things in here. Click on the file folder that says MODEL, there you should see all of your models that you have downloaded from your transmitter onto your card.

After you have saved the models to the card, then opened the folder to view what you have there, when you find one that you want to email, just drag the icon to your desktop and when you send the email, send this icon as an attachment.
