Find The Perfect Radio:

3PM-PM Radio System FAQ

  1. Can you tell me more about COND 2 on my 3PM?

  2. Will my (blank) ESC work in HRS mode?

  3. Can the third channel be made proportional independent of another channel?

  4. When I am using my radio for programming, setup within my house, experimenting, etc, is there anything special I should do?

  5. If I remove my transmitter battery will I lose all my data? Does my radio have a lithium battery to store all my programming, or how is this data stored? Do I need to service this memory in any way?

  6. I did not find the answer to my question here. How do I get further assistance?

Can you tell me more about COND 2 on my 3PM?

The Condition 2 menu can be used for almost anything you would like. Whenever you activate this function though it will ALWAYS be on SW1, this cannot be changed. Once it is activated by pushing the SW1 your blue LED will flash to let you know this is activated.

The functions that it can operate are:

  • Steering Speed
  • Steering Expo
  • Throttle Expo
  • ABS return amount
  • Brake mixing rate
  • Programmable Mixing
  • Steering Trim
  • Throttle Trim
  • Steering D/R
  • Throttle ATL

An example of what this can do is, you can set your Steering Speed in your 3PM let's say to 90%, then go into your COND 2 menu, and reset it to a lower speed, say 60%. This works well for different track conditions, where with the push of a button you have less chance of oversteering.

Will my (blank) ESC work in HRS mode?

Yes! Just as you do with the 3PK in HRS mode, the 3PM will work fine with your speed control when it is in HRS mode. See page 22 of your manual for a diagram of the set up.

Can the third channel be made proportional independent of another channel?

No, there are only so many switches that the 3rd channel can be assigned on the 3PM and there are no dials for proportional movement for it. It can of course be made proportional if it is mixed with one of the other two channels.
