Radio System FAQ
How do I set up a heading hold gyro on my 8U non-super or 8U Super?
For the 8U Super: First, remember that we recommend that you have the ATV on the radio set as close to 100% as possible, and do any other adjustments mechanically to work out differences in travel that you are wanting to do. So do not use ATV to try to set your high (HH) and low (NOR) gyro modes.
To adjust gyro gain, set up the gyro function.
| ___ | 1. Open the advanced menu (bottom left and center keys) and select GYRO (top left key until GYRO shows) |
| ___ | 2. Make it active. (If INH is flashing press the + key one time). |
| ___ | 3. Set your Heading hold percentage. (cursor over (top center) key, then the +key until desired percent). We start at approximately 80%,—set your own desired percentage based on your setup. This setting will go from 0-100%. |
| ___ | 4. Cursor over and set the normal percentage. (press top center key, the menu will change and now say Down, press the + key until desired percent). We usually start at about 30%. This option also goes from 0-100%. |
| ___ | 5. Set the desired switch. (top center cursor key, then press + key until desired switch is showing, then arrow over and press + key until desired switch position is selected.) |
For the 8U non-super: Since the non-super does not have gyro programming, use the ATV settings to adjust your heading hold and normal mode settings.
