Radio System FAQI own an 8U and an 8U Super. I want to use the CAMPac to move models from the 8U to the Super. How can I do this? You have two choices, depending on exactly what you are trying to do. 1. If you just want to move the models to the super, then use the CAMPac in the super from now on, you can batch convert the entire CAMPac module from an old 8U to work in the new 8U Super. However, PLEASE NOTE that after the conversion there is no going back and using the CAMPac data in the old 8U (unless you re-initialize it for the 8u again). 2. If you want to copy your models into the new Super radio, but continue to use the CAMPac for the 8U as well, you may load one model at a time into model #8 of the new 8U Super without affecting the old 8U CAMPac's data. This allows you to load a model memory to a new 8U Super and still return the CAMPAC to the old 8U and use it there with no loss of the original data. ___ To do this, turn on the 8U super. BEFORE YOU BEGIN THESE STEPS, are you currently using model 8 in your transmitter? If you are, copy the model you are using to a different model memory, because the converted data coming down from the CAMPac MUST go into model 8. ___ Insert the CAMPac. ___ Press the 2 basic menu keys and the up arrow until screen reads copy. ___ Press the cursor over arrow once more so screen reads 'Pac'. ___ Use the + or - key to select the model you want to copy FROM the CAMPac TO model 8 in your TX. (NOTE that the copied model WILL ONLY GO into model 8, so once it goes there you will want to copy it into another model memory in your TX to avoid overwriting it the next time you copy from your CAMPac.) ___ Press the + and - keys twice to accept the copy. ___ NOW before you do anything else, press the down arrow once, back to COPY. ___ Copy FROM model 8 to a different blank model in your radio. ___ Then go to PARA and do a data reset on model 8. This will leave model 8 blank and ready for the next time you want to copy down from your CAMPac. |
