Radio System FAQ

I would like to have some down flaps assigned to my throttle, but only want them active at a certain point, but I would also like 100% down flap at full throttle. But I also want to be able to shut this mix off with a switch, is this possible?

Yes, you would want to use one of the two "Linear" mixes (mix 6 or 7). Go into one of these mixes make it active and assigning the master as Throttle, you will assign the slave as Flaps. You will turn Link On, and assign it to the switch of your preference. From here you will go to the next page and set the 5 choices of positions. The amounts that you use will be personal preference depending on how much flap action you are wanting or needing. In our example, we assigned -100% in the 1st and 2nd positions, +50% in the 3rd position, and +100% in the 4th and 5th positions. Now with the switch in the Off position, you will get normal aileron and flap action, but with the switch in the On position, you will get down flaps but only at 50% of up throttle. The flap action will then be proportional to the throttle movement as full throttle will give full down flaps.
