Radio System FAQ

I have a 9ZAP TX and at the moment I am flying an Electric Glider with a 4 Channel receiver. I am using the Rudder channel for the Air brakes and this is controlled by a Slider on the side. Is it possible to use a Condition for Normal flight with throttle on J3 and a second Condition for landing using the Throttle stick to control the Air Brake?

What you will need to do is create a total of three mixes in a condition.

The first mix will be Throttle as Master to Rudder (as you are using this channel for your flaps) as Slave, type should be CTL. Set your rates as -100%, -66%, -33% and 0%, at the other side of the graph you should have -33%, -66% and -100%. For the "switch" press the STK, and set this to the throttle stick. Set this to activate at the top of the throttle stick movement.

Next do an identical mix, but on the percentages, set them at -100%, -66%, -33%, and 0 percent. Then they will be +33% +66% and +100%. Again you will set this mix to your throttle stick in the STK menu. Set this to activate at the bottom of the throttle stick movement.

Last, you will need to do a mix from Throttle as master to Throttle as slave at -100% on both rates with the switch nulled. This will stop any throttle movement on the same J3 stick.

Now if you flip the switch that you set this condition to, you will have normal movement with the Condition nulled, and Rudder (or in your case Flap) movement on the throttle stick with this Condition active.
