FASST Technology FAQ

I just got the TM-7 module, and being a "tray flyer" I found that when I lay my transmitter down in the tray, the button on the back of the module depresses, sending the module into Power Down mode. Other than modifying my tray, is there anything I can do?

We have heard of some people having to modify their trays when using the TM-7 and TM-8 modules. Some have drilled a 1/2 hole into the tray and glued a rubber around the hole, or on the module around the button itself.

While we don't suggest glue, you might want to try taking two or three pieces of servo tape the width of your module. Mount them on top of each other and cut a hole for the button. You can then stick this on the module with the button being protected by the hole you cut. This should prevent the button from being accidently depressed.
